Bootcamp for the job
Location: Veneto Region
Target groups: Young people, under 30
Veneto (ITH3)Experimenting with innovative ways to bring together young people under 30 looking for a job and local businesses looking for candidates. This was the goal of Boot Camp for the Job, the initiative organized from 2015 to 2017 as part of the Youth Guarantee Program promoted by the Veneto Region in collaboration with Italia Lavoro.
The Boot Camp consisted of an outdoor training circuit that was divided into various practical tests, including Tibetan bridge, stepping, orienteering and more, in which each participant could highlight their transversal skills: goal orientation, problem solving, planning, time management, ability to work in a group and manage stress and physical fatigue. At the same time, company managers could personally assess the personal qualities and individual approach of candidates, characteristics that are difficult to observe in traditional contexts.
