DISKKO-theek
Location: Limburg, Belgium
Target groups: Employees of Bewel (sheltered workplace).
DISKKO-theek is a programme developed by Bewel, a sheltered workplace, focusing on the education and training of their employees. Over time, it has expanded to include all staff members. The programme combines soft skills and hard skills development through the DISKKO-theek framework, emphasizing six core competences.
When new sheltered workers start, their assigned monitor plays a vital role in their quick adaptation, helping them navigate the workplace and feel comfortable.
The six basic competences developed and assessed through customized competence measurement are:
- Discipline
- Integrity
- Cooperation
- Quality
- Customer orientation
- Development
Clear guidelines define the ideal learning environment and tools tailored to each sheltered worker. This support facilitates faster mastery of key competences, smoother onboarding at Bewel, and increases the likelihood of long-term employment.
