Eastern Slovakia (SK04)RINK, established in 2019 by the Košice Self-Governing Region, supports traditional craftspeople and folk-art producers in the Gemer region and beyond. It provides education, mentoring, and infrastructure for artisans to improve their technical, business, and marketing skills. The incubator offers workshops, certification for regional products, coworking spaces, and platforms for sales and exhibitions. This initiative bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern needs, ensuring the sustainability of cultural heritage while fostering local economic growth.
RINK effectively combines cultural preservation with economic development by creating a supportive ecosystem for artisans to thrive. Its focus on skill-building, market access, and innovation showcases how traditional practices can adapt to contemporary demands, making it a model for regional development.
