Western Slovenia (SI04)Začaran Gozd, or the Enchanted Forest, is an interactive thematic trail located in Bled, Slovenia. Created to engage children and families in a unique natural setting, this trail combines outdoor adventure with educational elements that spark curiosity and creativity. Visitors journey through various stations featuring storytelling, puzzles, and hands-on activities that introduce the flora, fauna, and folklore of the forest in an engaging way.
This thematic trail is considered a best practice in combining outdoor education with environmental awareness. By making learning both enjoyable and accessible, Začaran Gozd cultivates a connection to nature and stimulates creative exploration, supporting the development of soft skills such as curiosity, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship. This approach not only enhances visitors’ appreciation for nature but also contributes to sustainable tourism in the region.
