Reasons for Skill Development

Productivity improvement is overwhelmingly the primary motivation for skill development (86%), followed by coping with technical demands (64%).

Staying relevant in the job market (36%) ranks as the third most important reason for skill development.

Personal reasons like ensuring well-being and improving colleague relationships are tied at 21%, showing they’re considered less important than productivity and technical demands.
