On-the-job learning is the dominant source of skill development, with 93% of Austrian respondents developing their skills in the workplace.
Outside institutional settings (including personal relationships) are highly significant, accounting for 86% of skill development sources—notably higher than in other countries surveyed.
Adult learning centers play a more important role in Austria (50%) compared to other surveyed countries, suggesting stronger continuing education infrastructure.
